About Us
Like many of you horses are my passion, which for me started early on in my childhood with the joy and thrills of owning my very first pony. This continued throughout the years with the many special bonds that I have formed with all the horses that have crossed my path.
My journey into equine soft tissue bodywork started with my own mare, a quarter horse, who became chronically lame with no simple answer at hand. I decided to take charge of her recovery process and went about educating myself to the needs of horses on a much deeper professional level and in a biomechanically structural and holistic way and so my journey began. A journey which I believe never ends, as I am always seeking out answers to the unending supply of questions that I come across.
One part of this journey led me to study the Equine Touch as the basis for my work, I completed the Practitioner programme and ET and Beyond Level IV, and then went on to become a tutor here in Western Australia, travelling around WA and assisting in clinics and tutorials teaching people to better connections and soft tissue manipulation techniques for them to use on their own horse.
I have also studied the Tui Na technique for Equines, under the watchful eye of Dr Bruce Ferguson DVM, CVA, CVH, red light therapy and I am studying a HND in Equine Behaviour, Welfare and Rehabilitation.
My primary goal at Equine Care is to offer outstanding care for your equine, working with you as the primary carer and with those that work with you your veterinarian, farrier, saddle fitter, equine dentist, coach to help you help your horse for the best possible outcome with maximum results.
