For all horses it is defined as a gentle non-invasive, non-diagnostic muscle release discipline, coupled with farriering, dentistry and nutrition, works as a complete holistic treatment, addressing the equine as a whole.
Equine Touch is a system of bodywork, which helps us to better understand and help our horses and can be looked upon as a total body treatment, encouraging the horse’s own body to move toward a greater sense of homeostasis and to maximize the efficiency of the body system, whatever the disease therefore encouraging the reduction of the pain spiral and guiding the horse toward total balance and optimum functionality.
Equine Touch works complimentary to orthodox veterinary medicine as it does with Chiropractic, homeopathy, dentistry, hoof care and herbal medicines.
Tui Na
Tui Na massage is an ancient healing art of Traditional Chinese Medicine which has been practiced in china for over 4000 years.
It is used to treat conditions that in western medicine ordinarily would require a physiotherapist, a chiropractor or an osteopath.
Tui Na works on a deeper level not only affecting muscles and joints but influencing the flow of "Qi" through out the body
Qi is the "life energy" that is channelled through the body's Meridians to organs, body tissues and the mind.
